Lucia Pizzani (Caracas, 1975).
BA in Social Communication Studies, Audiovisual specialty at the Universidad Católica Andres Bello, (Caracas), CERC Certificate in Conservation Biology from Columbia University (New York) and a Master in Fine Arts from the Chelsea College of Art and Design (London).
Her solo shows include: The Worshipper of the Image (Beers Contemporary. London, 2014), El Adorador de la Imagen (Sala Mendoza. Caracas, 2014), Mariposario (Oficina#1. Caracas, 2013),Vessel y Orchis (Fernando Zubillaga Galería, Centro de Arte Los Galpones. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Photofusion Hotshoe Award 14, Photofusion (London, 2014), the First Prize at the XII Premio Eugenio Mendoza (Caracas, 2013), the Emerging Artist Award by the AICA, Venezuelan chapter-International Art Critics Association-, (Caracas, 2013), Video Award for "About the Unknown of the Seine and other Ofelias" in Region 0 Festival, New York University-KJCC (New York, 2013), and the Second Prize in the IX CANTV FIA Young Artists Salon, Corp Banca Cultural centre (Caracas, 2006).
Her work is represented in the Collection of Banco Mercantil (Venezuela), the Museum Of Latin American Art, MOLAA (USA), the Essex Collection for Art from Latin America ESCALA (UK) and the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, CPPC (Venezuela-USA), among others.
